The Interactive Museum of Tabuk is a landmark project developed with Samaya Investment Company for the Ministry of Tourism and National Heritage of Saudi Arabia. The museum invites guests of all ages to engage with Saudi Arabia’s cultural heritage through technology-driven exhibits that have been live and operational for more than two years.

The Interactive Museum of Tabuk is a landmark project developed with Samaya Investment Company for the Ministry of Tourism and National Heritage of Saudi Arabia. Spanning over 1,200 m², this immersive space and interactive installations to bring the history of Tabuk to life. 

The museum invites guests of all ages to engage with Saudi Arabia’s cultural heritage through technology-driven exhibits that have been live and operational for more than two years.

This museum also emphasizes the role of technology in city branding and tourism development. By introducing immersive storytelling into heritage spaces, the Tabuk Museum positions itself not only as a cultural archive but also as a destination for families, schools, and international visitors. It demonstrates how content for festivals, live event content, and creative studio solutions for events can be adapted to permanent installations that continue to engage audiences year after year.

At the heart of the museum are experiences that combine visual storytelling, event visuals, and multimedia shows with educational content. Each installation was carefully designed to blend entertainment and heritage, encouraging visitors not just to watch, but to actively participate.

Installed Experiences

 

Interactive Book:

The Interactive Book transforms traditional reading into a projection-based storytelling experience. Using gesture recognition, visitors can flip through virtual pages simply by waving their hands. Each page reveals animated cultural stories, multimedia content, and real-time effects, turning the act of reading into a multi-sensory journey. This installation combines edutainment and immersive design, making heritage narratives engaging for both children and adults.

 

Multimedia Interactive Wall:

The Interactive Wall is a large-scale digital canvas powered by lumen projectors and touch devices. It allows visitors to explore Tabuk’s heritage by interacting with responsive visual content, maps, and historical illustrations. By touch wall, visitors can launch an immersive storytelling environment where culture is experienced through active participation rather than passive observation.

Interactive Table:

Designed for collaborative learning, the Interactive Table is a multi-touch installation where groups can explore heritage together. Visitors engage with interactive maps, 3D models, and cultural archives displayed on a large, high-resolution touch screen. The system supports multi-user interaction, this feature help to learn collectively while navigating digital layers of information. This installation brings a gamified learning element into the museum space.

 

Interactive Sandbox:

The Interactive Sandbox combines real sand with digital projection. Visitors can shape the sand into mountains, rivers, and valleys. A depth sensor and projector add contour lines, water effects, and topographic colors in real time. Users can also see how the land shapes influence ecosystems. This installation is a great example of hands-on learning, fun, and immersive play.

 

Interactive Referral Stand:

The Interactive Referral Stand is a digital guide and info point. With a touch screen, visitors can explore museum content, find zones, and get recommendations. It supports different languages and has an easy design, so people of all ages can use it. This installation helps visitors move smoothly through the museum and makes the experience more engaging.

The Tabuk Interactive Museum has become a benchmark for cultural innovation in Saudi Arabia, proving how immersive experience  and interactive installations can enhance visitor engagement.
